Job Description

Accounts Receivable Manager Location Hybrid work in Bethlehem, PA :

The Accounts Receivable Manager will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, monitoring outstanding balances, and implementing efficient collection processes. The Accounts Receivable Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining positive relationships with clients and resolving any billing disputes or discrepancies. Actively participates as an integral member of the Company's Finance team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the accounts receivable process from invoicing to collection, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Coordinate with business development, billing specialists, and project management teams to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
  • Implement and maintain effective credit and collection policies and procedures.
  • Analyze customer payment trends and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status and performance for management review.
  • Aid in preparation of revenue forecast on a monthly basis.
  • Assist in the preparation of necessary information to support the annual budget.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to the accounts receivable staff
  • Provide input to the development of personal performance goals and departmental objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
  • Stay up to date on industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to accounts receivable management.
  • Monthly General Ledger Accounting entries and timely account analysis and reconciliations
  • Special projects and/or additional tasks as may be assigned.
  • Support an Environment of Continuous Improvement and Process Change. Comfortable in not only identifying improvements but leading organization through process changes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, including, but not limited to tax.
  • Ensure compliance with US General Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”) and where applicable International Finance Reporting Standards (“IFRS”)

  • Bachelors' Degree , preferably in Finance or Accounting
  • 1-3 years of experience in Accounting, ideally in pharmaceutical clinical supplies or clinical research/supply environment or manufacturing. Experience in Public Accounting preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication is required to communicate with the team, peers, management and external contacts.
  • Excellent technology skills, including proficiency with Excel and strong working knowledge of SAP, database applications and other Microsoft Office Products, such as Word, Project and Power Point.
  • Strong leadership skills and abilities with experience in mentoring and developing team members to achieve Company goals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet targeted timelines.
  • Has adequate emotional intelligence to handle a variety of situations professionally and in accordance with compliance expectations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
