This will be a direct hire paying $50-$55/hr.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Municipal Building Inspection experience within the State of California
- Minimum of an ICC Commercial Building Inspector License
- Strong knowledge of California Building Codes and Regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Plusses:
-ICC Combination Building Inspection or Obtains both ICC Commercial and Residential Building Inspector Licenses

Insight Global is seeking a full-time ICC Certified Building Inspector to join the Building & Safety group of a large engineering consulting services company in Lancaster, CA. This individual will support local cities within this region on inspections of commercial and residential properties to ensure building plans, specifications, and drawings comply with California building codes and regulations. This role will require extensive interactions with general contractors, city employees, engineers, and other public agencies. We are looking for an individual with a solutions-oriented mindset who can effectively establish and maintain effective working relationships with these individuals. The ability to work independently to perform all building structural, plumbing, electrical, sewerage, and heating system inspections for safety and specification compliance without assistance is crucial for this role. As a Building Inspector, you will be required to go on-site for inspections but can work from home if in-person work is not needed at a given time.
