Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards.

Job Title: Superintendent

Location: Newington, CT

Salary: $100,000 - $150,000

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring work is progressing according to schedule and plans.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment for all site personnel.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
• Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns.
• Assist in monitoring project costs and expenditures to stay within budget.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• 5 years of experience in a superintendent role within the construction industry.

Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency with construction management software, and an in-depth understanding of construction processes and safety regulations.
• Certifications: OSHA certification and other relevant safety training are a plus.
