Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The CRA/Compliance Analyst is responsible for assisting the Compliance & CRA Officer in assessing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring the Bank’s loan, deposit and payment solutions compliance programs to ensure that each functional area achieves and maintains compliance with all applicable banking laws and regulations. The daily activities may be directed primarily to CRA program responsibilities as well as with Compliance programs.

DUTIES:

  • Conduct ongoing data scrubbing & validation to fulfill technical CRA and HMDA reporting requirements.
  • Assist with tracking and validating CRA community development activities (loans, investments, and services).
  • Review reports, data, and individual loans to ensure all CRA reportable loans have been identified as such and have the required information.
  • Conduct distribution analysis and create reports related to CRA and Fair Lending laws in alignment with regulatory requirements, performance targets, and FDIC examination procedures.
  • Provide CRA and Compliance training and support to branch personnel to build awareness of the Bank’s community development risk initiatives.
  • Work in partnership with CRA & Compliance Officer to distill and communicate relevant findings to senior management, on a quarterly basis, the results of lending, investments, and services to maintain a Satisfactory or better CRA rating in all assessment areas.
  • Assist with preparation of CRA performance context as well as support the Compliance team that helps drive the Bank’s regulatory compliance risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain CRA Public file in compliance with the regulation.
  • Support and lead the Bank’s participation with community lending opportunities.
  • Participate in community development forums and industry networks to maintain current understanding of community development issues and trends.
  • Perform compliance monitoring and testing to ensure compliance with consumer protection laws and regulations across small business and commercial lending.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and compliance monitoring.
  • Maintains proficient knowledge of applicable compliance statutes, regulations and interpretations.
  • Provide assistance during regulatory examinations and independent audits at the direction of the Compliance & CRA Officer, including gathering of documentation and information requested by internal, external and regulatory auditor and authorities related to an audit, examination or inquiry.
  • Assists in development of compliance-related training for lending office/department employees.
  • Timely completion of all assigned compliance training.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, guidance and technical assistance.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum 2 + years in Compliance or banking related experience.
  • Familiarity with Regulation B (ECOA), Regulation BB (Community Reinvestment Act); Regulation X (RESPA); Regulation Z (TILA); Regulation H (FDPA); Regulation V (FCRA); Fair Lending; Regulation P (GLBA).
  • Experience with building and maintaining CRA policies and programs, including knowledge of CRA data collection software.

Knowledge of:

  • Ability to perform tasks quickly and accurately.
  • A thorough understanding and application of compliance laws & regulations.
  • Working knowledge of ACH and PCI compliance.

Abilities:

  • Ability to operate in a team environment to accomplish shared goals.
  • Ability to effectively manage time as related to daily tasks.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple demands in a high-pressure environment while maintaining professional demeanor.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
