Key Responsibilities:The Sportsplex facility is currently seeking responsible, enthusiastic individuals with a passion for health and fitness to staff the Fitness Desk and assist members in the use of equipment in the Fitness Center during the evening shift from 4pm to close. This includes cheerfully greeting members and answering their questions regarding the Sportsplex and Fitness Center, monitoring the entry area of the Fitness Center to ensure that only appropriately aged members, guests, and program participants use the Center, scanning the ID cards of members & track users, and enforcing the Fitness Centers Code of Conduct.
This position will also monitor the Fitness Center to ensure that equipment is used as it was designed, provide instruction and assistance to members on the proper and safe use of selectorized, cardiovascular and weight training equipment in the Fitness Center, monitor members use of equipment to ensure that all members have an equal opportunity to gain access to the equipment without unreasonable delays, and assist in sanitizing and cleaning Fitness Center equipment on a continuous basis.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills:High School Diploma, preferred. Prior customer service experience and experience with fitness equipment are highly desirable. Candidates should have an exemplary work ethic which displays consistent and prompt work attendance. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. All staff must be CPR/AED certified within 90 days of employment.
This is a year-round position and individual in this role would normally be scheduled up to 19 hours per week.
Must be available between the hours of 4PM to 10PM on weeknights and weekends. Shifts can vary.
Compensation & Benefits:Pay rate: $14.00 - $16.30 per hour, DOQ.
