Job Summary:
Provides food and merchandising support to designated stores by ensuring programs and products meet high standards of quality and safety. Responsible for creating detailed reports, summarizing findings, and communicating results to management. Maintains quality control through preventative maintenance and responds to store needs as required.
Essential Functions:
Training & Support:
Train and educate store teams on food safety, quality assurance (FSQA), and HACCP regulatory requirements for new and existing product offerings. Develop and facilitate training sessions to address gaps and ensure compliance with company policies. Create a learning environment that empowers employees to independently resolve issues and grow the foodservice business. Lead training opportunities as needed and maintain a database of training sessions and store visits.
Store Visits & Quality Assurance:
Conduct scheduled store visits to monitor food safety and quality assurance compliance. Address real-time issues in stores, providing immediate solutions and corrective actions. Verify proper signage, pricing, and inventory levels for key food safety areas. Assess cleanliness in all areas, including food prep stations, restrooms, storage, and sanitation areas. Monitor food temperatures and equipment functionality, notifying the appropriate personnel of any non-compliance. Complete detailed reports summarizing store conditions, assigning overall scores, and communicating results to management.
Operational & Equipment Oversight:
Supervise new store openings and remodels for foodservice setup and compliance. Oversee new foodservice projects aligned with Business Unit (BU) initiatives. Perform monthly preventative maintenance, calibrating dispensing machines and reviewing signage and promotional materials. Conduct troubleshooting sessions to instruct stores on resolving equipment and process issues. Ensure store health requirements are met, addressing critical violations immediately.
Collaboration & Leadership:
Act as the primary contact for stores regarding foodservice-related inquiries, providing guidance and problem-solving support. Partner with District Managers to address specific needs and opportunities in their markets. Collaborate with Category Managers, BU leadership, store teams, and vendors to ensure training materials remain current and effective. Support stores in executing best practices and improving underperforming locations. Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned.
