We are currently seeking a Locum Veterinarian to join our teams in Topeka, Kansas.


Position Overview: As a Locum Veterinarian at Western Veterinary Partners, you will have the opportunity to provide comprehensive veterinary services, including examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures. This position is perfect for a veterinarian seeking flexible scheduling options and the chance to be part of a few dynamic teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough health examinations and diagnose medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans for patients.
  • Conduct surgeries and dental procedures with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
  • Administer vaccinations, prescribe medications, and provide wellness care.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets' health and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate medical records using practice management software.
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to deliver exceptional care.
  • Ensure compliance with all veterinary standards and protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
  • Valid Kansas veterinary license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Previous experience in a veterinary practice is preferred.
  • Strong clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
