We are currently seeking a Locum Veterinarian to join our teams in Topeka, Kansas.
Position Overview: As a Locum Veterinarian at Western Veterinary Partners, you will have the opportunity to provide comprehensive veterinary services, including examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures. This position is perfect for a veterinarian seeking flexible scheduling options and the chance to be part of a few dynamic teams.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform thorough health examinations and diagnose medical conditions.
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans for patients.
- Conduct surgeries and dental procedures with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
- Administer vaccinations, prescribe medications, and provide wellness care.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets' health and well-being.
- Maintain accurate medical records using practice management software.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to deliver exceptional care.
- Ensure compliance with all veterinary standards and protocols.
Qualifications: - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- Valid Kansas veterinary license or eligibility for licensure.
- Previous experience in a veterinary practice is preferred.
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
