Job Description

Pinnacle Search Partners is working with one of our clients in Wisconsin to identify a multi-site Maintenance Manager. Our client is in a rapid season of growth and this role will allow the right candidate to put their mark on the organization's engineering and maintenance function. This candidate will have a team of six direct reports who are incredibly seasoned Maintenance Technicians as well as some facilities staff. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for engineering, maintenance, and facilities management. Here's what you need to know:

Duties:

• Supervise maintenance team at both sites (total of six people.) They have four Techs in WI and two in NC. The current person is supervising janitorial staff (two or three people.) None of their techs are programming PLC’s - they outsource that function.
• Managing any equipment failures and assisting Maintenance staff as needed with technical issues
• Manage CapEx projects - Investment budget is between $2-3M per year. Biggest investment later this year will be close to $2M itself. This person will put together the proposal for the investment, solicit the quote, present to management with recommendations, and then procurement will pick up the order processing. They will be accountable for the installation of the equipment (either internally or selecting the appropriate service providers.)
• Assume site infrastructure responsibility - They rent their buildings in NC and WI - both of which are well-maintained
• Percentage of travel - Usually once a quarter for a week or so to NC
• Ability to restaff team as legacy staff retires

Experience Required:

• Experience managing engineering, maintenance, and facilities for plastics processing equipment/plant - extrusion experience required
• Demonstrated experience leading a team - OK if the team size is smaller
• Familiar with maintenance - blend of mechanical and electrical
• CapEx experience - installation of mixers, extruders - twin screw extruders. Dust extraction and compressors.

Experience Preferred:

• Engineering degree
• Twin screw extruder processing

Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to work across multiple generations of employees
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills

Compensation: $100-120K base before bonus
