Company Description Job Description Greet and escort patients to examining room; make them feel welcome and comfortable Prepare patient for exams; obtain urine specimens, check vital signs, document symptoms, complaints & medications Ensure the patient's demographic information is correct and updated Evaluate calls for emergencies and triage appropriately Coordinate and schedule physician's appointments, meetings, etc. Assist the physician, residents and fellows with exams and procedures Give injections and/or teach the patient to administer injections to self Assist patient with obtaining lab slips and/or referrals, scheduling procedures, prescriptions, etc. Educate patients on healthcare concerns & problems, office & hospital procedures, medications, testing, etc. Cooperate and interact with team members and coworkers Maintain a safe environment for patients and others Maintain patient confidentiality Maintain patient flow Follow HIPAA guidelines. Other duties as required Qualifications Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Excellent customer service orientation and phone skills Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Exceptional organizational skills Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective, working relationships Ability to handle oneself in a professional manner Adheres to policies and procedures Experience: 1+ Year of Experience in a Clinical Setting Preferred Completed Medical Assistant Program Certificate/License: Medical Assisting Certification Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
