Title: Sr. Software Engineer
Location: Houston, TX 77079/ Hybrid - Onsite 3 days/week
Duration: 10 Months
Shift: M-F 8am - 5pm CST
Job Description:
Resource's typical working day: build and maintain custom programming on top of COTS AS400 solution, create custom data feeds for clients, production support/monitoring dayend processes, collaborating with onsite business and technical teams.
Years of Experience needed: 3+
Level of Education: bachelor's degree preferred, but sufficient experience is acceptable as well.
Systems/Software proficiencies : IBM Web Sphere and/or Web Sphere Liberty, RPG/AS400/iSeries Developer who has expertise in, but not limited to, RPG/400, RPGLE, CL/400, CLLE, DB2/400 or similar databases like Oracle, MS SQL Server, tools like SYNON, Aldon, WRKQRY, IBM i, X-Analysis, IBM Websphere, etc.
Top Must have Skills: RPG knowledge, AS 400/IBM I series - specifically a developer, not an administrator. Good communication skills - written and verbal.
Top Nice to have Skills: Experience with cloud and Microsoft tech stack technologies like C#, ASP.NET, Angular, SQL Server, Oracle, Azure is nice to have.
