Job Description

***Our client is looking for someone who is based in New Hampshire and can travel to two of their plants.***

Our client is looking for a Production Planner/Scheduler to join their team to coordinate and develop production schedules on a daily basis to meet production needs in the most efficient manner possible.

Job Position Responsibilities

· Review open sales orders to determine customer requirements.

· Create production orders using their manual systems. They are in the process of implementing an ERP system.

· Create and maintain production schedules so that customers' needs are met in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible.

· Update production staff daily with the production schedule for that day.

· Work closely with production staff to minimize changeovers and to provide quick responses to production issues.

· Notify customer service of any schedule impacts to customers.

· Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

· Report all accidents or near misses.

· Adheres to all environmental and quality standards.

· Any other tasks that may be necessary to meet the production schedule in a safe and efficient manner.

Required Qualifications

Education:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Scheduler role in a manufacturing environment.

Skills:

· Knowledge of production and processing, raw materials, and maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

· Ability to think strategically

· Ability to interact well with internal and external customers.

· Proficient use of computer systems and software applications.

· Knowledge of ERP or MRP software preferred.

· Ability to communicate effectively with managers and employees of the organization.

· Excellent organizational skills
