Job Description
Akkodis is seeking Project Manager for a Contract job with a client in Chicago, IL (Hybrid). Responsibilities include assisting with release planning and coordination, supporting implementation and post-implementation activities, and ensuring effective communication and issue resolution during the release process.
Rate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Project Manager job responsibilities include:
Assisting the Release Manager in developing and executing comprehensive release strategies.
Coordinating across work streams, vendors, and priorities for the creation of the Release Calendar/Plan.
Tracking deployments and facilitating release notes for all deployments.
Supporting defect triage and facilitating the resolution of release issues to keep the program on track.
Creating integrated cutover plans, technical runbooks, and coordinating implementation activities.
Ensuring all post-go-live support processes are in place and providing 24x7 release support coverage.
Facilitating dry runs, managing rollback decisions, and coordinating with infrastructure and other teams.
Tracking incidents through issue trackers (JIRA/ALM) and maintaining release management artifacts in the central repository.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Project Management, or a related field.
5-7 years of project management experience, with a strong focus on release management.
Proficiency in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and flexibility to work across varying time zones and schedules.
