Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Social Impact Associate embraces the mission of SoLa Impact and its corporate-affiliated non-profit, the SoLa Foundation, and is passionate about helping South Los Angeles residents thrive. Responsible for supporting the foundation in project coordination, system administration, stakeholder outreach, and relationship management support, and general foundation support to achieve greater stakeholder and foundation impact.

PAY RATE: $45,000-$55,000 per year, paid hourly

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Project and Program Coordination and Development

● Assist in the coordination of current programs, supporting expansion and evolution into direct placement opportunities;

● Assist the Director of Tech Centers and Chief Impact Officer in developing new projects and programs through research, creating internal and external facing collateral, and coordinating with external stakeholders.

Partnerships and Stakeholder Management

● Provide support and logistics management of stakeholder events and in-person engagement opportunities, including tours, meeting scheduling, collateral preparation and research;

● Research potential donors/partners/sponsors and vet opportunities;

● Provide additional event and field trip execution support.

Systems and Administration

● Synthesize meeting briefs and summaries to communicate internally and include them in CRM.

● Provide administrative support for the Programs team, including student and parent outreach and communications

● Manage and update the SoLa Foundation’s Salesforce CRM and create infrastructure to manage stakeholders in multiple states as SoLa expands.

● Complete other tasks and projects as assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

● Bachelor’s Degree required

● Minimum 1-2 years experience in non-profits, partnerships, social impact, and/or public good program

development and campaigns preferred.

● Spanish speaking is preferred, but not required;

● Salesforce experience is preferred but not required.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

● Strong project management skills;

● Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills;

● Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite;

● Experience with Salesforce or CRMs a plus

● Well-developed time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

● Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment;

● Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment;

● Ability to build and steward relationships with people from diverse backgrounds;

● Takes initiative to complete tasks with minimal direction;

● Detail-oriented, quick-thinking, organized, and resourceful with strong critical thinking skills.
