Truck Driver - Shipping & Receiving Dated Posted: January 8, 2025 Position Summary: This position is responsible for driving trucks and other vehicles to transport materials.
Duties - Drives library vehicles to transport materials and staff.
- Loads and unloads trucks.
- Performs routine vehicle inspections, including tires, brakes, gas, oil and other fluids.
- Performs emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires.
- Picks up library material donations at various locations.
- Sorts and distributes library materials.
- Assists in agency moves of materials, furniture and equipment.
Qualifications - Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Demonstrates flexibility to change direction and priorities based on community need.

- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to climb up/down from the cab or bed of a motor vehicle, such as a pickup or cube truck.
- Must be able to safely, frequently, and independently move and handle a minimum of 75 lbs.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications Knowledge of driving regulations and area roads preferred.
