TheWeb Designer is responsible for managing, designing, and maintaining web based projects for our clients. This person is a goal-oriented individual who possesses exceptional attention to detail and has outstanding interpersonal skills. This role requires interacting with and implementing UI/UX best practices and principles. In addition, the Senior Web Designer is required to work closely with the creative team to delegate tasks, as well as other departments at Youtech to make sure the goals of the client are achieved.

Areas of Responsibility

• Set timelines and assign tasks for various web projects including WordPress, Shopify, and Woocommerce website builds
• Assist in preparing for client meetings and presentations
• Determine appropriate architecture, and other technical solutions, and make relevant recommendations to clients
• Hold weekly team meetings
• Lead meetings with clients including creative meetings, design reviews, demos, and end user training
• Work with Project Managers and clients to identify requirements and project goals
• Provide thought-leadership on Web design best practices and next-generation digital trends
• Create Web Design mock-ups via Adobe XD or Photoshop (WordPress, Shopify, and Woocommerce)
• Design and develop WordPress, Shopify, and Woocommerce based websites
• Test and improve the design of existing websites
• Identify and integrate various third-party applications to websites based on client needs and project scope (MailChimp, Constant Contact, Hubspot, etc.)
• Develop and maintain robust Web Style guides for all our consumer- and business-facing products
• Lead the development of a new brand and how to convey it cohesively across our multiple Web properties

Professional Skills & Qualifications

• 2-3 years experience designing, building, and managing WordPress, Shopify, and Woocommerce websites
• Proven experience of performing all technical aspects of a front end build
• Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (DreamWeaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, XD)
• Proficiency reading and editing HTML/CSS
• Excellent design skills and ability to follow the branding guidelines from clients
• Experience in email marketing (familiarity with MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc.)
• Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with clients and other departments
• High levels of self-motivation
• Ability to create new compelling and competent designs
• Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere
• A strong visual and technical portfolio
• Knowledge of browser compatibility across multiple platforms and devices
• Strong ability to design with accessibility in mind
