We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to lead a team of accounts receivable analysts at a prominent specialty and fresh food distribution company. This role is integral in ensuring efficient workflows, timely payments, and adherence to internal policies. The Accounts Receivable Manager will collaborate closely with the A/R Director to improve processes, resolve discrepancies, and maintain key stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive experience in accounts receivable, and a keen eye for process improvement and performance metrics.

• Lead and supervise a team of accounts receivable analysts in reconciling accounts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payments.
• Monitor and manage the AR aging reports, implementing appropriate follow-up actions to secure outstanding payments from customers.
• Review customer payment histories and ensure compliance with established payment terms, including coordinating payment collections and resolving payment discrepancies.
• Ensure departmental adherence to internal policies, procedures, and established controls to maintain financial integrity.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for escalating customer issues, resolving challenges with timely and effective solutions.
• Develop, track, and provide performance metrics, facilitating ongoing improvements in department processes and efficiency.
• Foster strong, collaborative relationships with the A/R Director and other key stakeholders to optimize workflow and enhance operational efficiency.
• Identify and resolve payment deduction issues in a timely manner, ensuring that deductions are justified and resolved properly.
• Oversee the onboarding process for new chain accounts, establishing and maintaining strong financial relationships with clients.
• Lead monthly meetings with Sales Account Management to resolve any outstanding collection issues and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Collaborate with other department managers to ensure the accuracy and reconciliation of general ledgers.
• Prepare and present month-end financial reports, summarizing A/R performance and trends to Senior Management.
• Oversee the post-audit research and resolution process for chain accounts to ensure that any audit findings are addressed effectively.
• Work closely with internal and external auditors during A/R audit processes to ensure compliance and resolve any audit concerns.
• Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and development of new accounts receivable team members.

• A degree in finance, accounting, or a related business field is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in accounts receivable or accounts payable roles.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience, managing a team in an accounts receivable environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.
• Proven leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities to guide and develop a high-performing team.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to resolve complex financial issues efficiently.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including data analysis, financial modeling, and visualization.
