Job Description

Role: Employee Communications Manager

Location: Hybrid in Armonk, NY (Open to Remote for the right candidate)

Contract Length: 7 months

Rate: 50-60/hr W2 (depending on experience level)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Akkodis is seeking a talented and strategic Employee Communications Manager to join their client's communications team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving employee communication initiatives that inspire, inform, and engage our workforce. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the globe to implement initiatives that support our company’s culture and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

As the Employee Communications Manager, you will help simplify and communicate complex concepts, lead projects from start to finish, and be a champion for storytelling that connects employees to the mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic internal communications plans to support employee engagement and culture change initiatives.
  • Write, edit, and deliver clear, concise, and compelling communications, ensuring alignment with overall company messaging.
  • Manage communication projects, including planning, execution, and tracking of outcomes.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on communication strategies and best practices.
  • Partner with global teams to ensure consistent messaging and effective communication across all markets.
  • Translate complex business concepts into accessible and impactful content for diverse audiences.
  • Utilize a variety of communication channels, including digital platforms, emails, newsletters, and intranet, to connect with employees worldwide.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in communications, ideally focused on internal communications, culture change, or digital communications within a corporate or agency environment.
  • Excellent storytelling, writing, messaging, and editing abilities with the ability to craft engaging content.
  • Exposure to and ability to navigate within a complex global matrix environment.
  • Proven ability to translate and simplify complex concepts into clear and understandable messages.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and implement communication initiatives.
  • Exceptional planning, project management, and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively with colleagues across regions and teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Visual communication, basic graphic design, or video editing skills are a plus.
  • Experience in digital communications, community management, or social media-related efforts.
  • Passion for adapting and applying new communication tools, formats, and strategies.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and ever-changing work environment, with the ability to navigate through ambiguity.
