We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability & Safety Engineer with expertise in component engineering, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and reliability engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing and improving the reliability, safety, and durability of components and systems throughout their lifecycle. This role requires experience in failure analysis, risk assessment, and compliance with industry safety standards.  

What You will Do:

• Assist in hazard analysis, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and fault tree analysis (FTA) for aerospace systems.
• Support risk assessments and the development of safety cases for mechanical, electrical, and software components.
• Contribute to reliability predictions, maintainability analysis, and system lifecycle assessments.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with aerospace safety and reliability standards (e.g., ARP4761, ARP4754, MIL-STD-882, DO-178C, DO-254).
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential safety risks during design, development, and testing phases.
• Participate in failure investigations, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective action implementation.
• Support the creation of technical reports, safety assessments, and reliability documentation.
• Assist in system testing and validation to verify reliability and safety requirements.
• Stay up to date with emerging reliability and safety engineering practices and industry trends.

How You Will Get Here:

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of reliability engineering principles, failure analysis, and risk assessment techniques.
• Familiarity with reliability and safety standards in the aerospace industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with reliability prediction tools (e.g., ReliaSoft, PTC Windchill, RAM Commander).
• Exposure to safety assessment techniques and MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering).
• Hands-on experience with hardware and software reliability testing.

Work Requirements:

• This role is considered an on-site position located in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.
• You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
• Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs. 

Citizenship requirement: Due to the nature of this role, proof of US Citizenship is required upon hire.

Travel requirements: Due to the nature of the work, the only travel required is to and from the office. 

Multiple positions are available for varying levels of experience. Compensation is based on experience.
